Painting A Film

This magical two minute film takes you on a journey through the development of a painting. The film is made from hundreds of images captured using a bolex 16mm camera mounted in the studio. each time I worked on the painting I recorded every change with 4/6 frames. the result is an animation that flickers and whirrs and like pinocchio, the images on the canvas need only a little movement and imagination to become animated with the breath of life.
